Get ready to be dazzeled with fantastic entertainment, boats, fireworks and even carnival rides at the 54^th annual Lake Geneva Jaycees Venetian Festival! This incredible five-day festival has everything you could possible dream of, and best of all, it is only a short drive away from some of our new homes in the Chicago area.

The festival is held in honor of the lake for which the town was named. Every year, a colorful display of boats is on parade down the lake in true Venetian style, giving the festival its famous name! This year’s festival takes place August 17 through 21.

While famous, the boat parade is not the only thing this massive festival has to offer. Each night, live music from various artists will be played, creating a lively atmosphere, along with a carnival that boasts family fun for everyone.

The festival activities don’t stop there. Sunday features several events sure to keep guests entertained all day to wrap up the festival. Enjoy amazing food at the Brat Stand at Liberty Park with special entertainment from duo Mama Tried starting at noon. Then later that evening, catch the amazing water ski show at 6 p.m. Last but certainly not least is the grand celebration event, the boat parade.

This year’s boat parade is Olympic themed, so get ready to feel patriotic and see a variety of different sports represented. Immediately after the boat parade will be a glorious display of fireworks that will light up the night sky.
