Three Cheers for the Red White and Blue
Those living on prime Richmond, McHenry, Williams Bay and Poplar Grove real estate put on your red, white and blue and get ready for one action packed 4th of July celebration because you’re located right in the middle of many fun-filled events. From fireworks to concerts, you are sure to find the perfect place to spend your holiday without traveling far away from home.
McHenry County residents can plan to enjoy an evening full of fireworks on the evening of Tuesday, July 3 at Peterson Park. Bring a blanket and picnic and catch up with some good friends while the kids run around and play. If you’re not going to be in town to catch this show, take the family on over to Crystal Lake Park’s Main Beach for a fireworks display on Sunday, July 1.
For those interested in a complete day of fun, you might be interested in the Wonder Lake 4th of July Celebration. The day begins Wednesday, July 4 at 10 a.m. with a flag retirement ceremony and ends at dusk with a fireworks show. Make sure to stay for all the excitement throughout the day though, including a parade, open house at the fire department, art show, kid’s zone with face painting, pony rides, the Wonder Lake Ski Team show at Center Beach and more.
If you are closer to Woodstock and want a more relaxed environment, why not check out the City Band Concert in the Historic Square July 4 at 7:30 p.m. The concert is entitled “Red, White and Blue†and is devoted to an annual patriotic salute. The evening will also wrap up with fireworks.
The 4th of July is also the perfect time to have friends over to your new Gerstad Builders home for some barbeque and apple pie.
